The SIMud alchemy system will hopefully wind up being very interesting. It
should allow players to experiment with a tremendous number of different
ingredients and methods of preparing and combining the ingredients. There
should probably be multiple combinations that result in similar potions.

Certain potions should require specific types of containers (based on their
ingredients and effects), ie, the chemicals react with each other and could
result in:
 - container is destroyed and potion is lost
 - potion becomes inert
 - potion becomes toxic

Preparation methods:
 - grind, crush, chop, melt, infuse, boil, brew, mix, cook, cool, freeze

Alchemical reagents:
 - platinum, gold, lodestone, silver, copper, crystal, steel, aluminum,
   brass, glass, marble, granite, clay, onyx, salt, iron, mithril, lead,
   tin, meteorite, quartz
 - diamond, emerald, ruby, sapphire, opal, pearl, jade, peridot, amethyst,
   garnet, aquamarine, topaz, spinel, sunstone, moonstone, agate, coral,
   amber, ivory, tourmaline, turquoise, black pearl
 - ash, hazel, oak, pine, yew, linden, willow, maple, aspen, cherry, apple
 - belladonna (nightshade), mistletoe, saphron, arsenic, comfrey, anise,
   wolfsbane, basil, sulphur, aloe, ivy, mint, honey, garlic, fennel seed,
   ginger, ginseng, mandrake, yarrow, sage, eyebright, thistle, nettle
 - fruits and vegetables
 - monster parts (wing of bat, eye of newt, dragon's blood, basilisk fangs)
 - spider silk, ash
 - mercury (quicksilver), phosphorous, sodium
 - alcohol, water, oil
 - gasses (oxygen, hydrogen, noxious stuff...)
