Adventure Quest

I have been interested in the online flash-based rpg known as Adventure Quest for some time now. In fact, I was moved to compassion after their Halloween special event (in how many RPG's have you ever gone trick-or-treeting?) and paid my $13 registration fee. You don't get very much in return other than the satisfaction of having helped the guys out. Ok, so I lied, you get access to a few things, namely you can travel a bit more freely through the game world and get access to some rather cool equipment and pets.

Recently, they added another level of account registration, and since I like them so much, I plunked down the $10. I have, after all, been a registered user for something approaching 3 years now and have participated in a great many events.

They allow viewing of anyone's character details through the web page if you know their character id number. My character sheet may be seen here.

Screenshots

I've been meaning to take screenshots of interesting things for the past little bit now, but have been lazy about it. Here is what I've taken so far:

Snow Bunny Zard
(12/19/03)
My first attempt at taking a screenshot, I'm so proud of how it turned out, aren't you? This critter was part of the Christmas special event and had 800 bleeding hp...
Zard Ice Pack
(12/19/03)
This is an interesting creature type that they added during the Christmas event, unlike previous pack mobs, these guys act much more like 3 mobs working together than a single mob that gets weaker as you kill off members.
Yeti
(12/19/03)
A fairly mean beastie to be sure, this guy was the kill that brought me up to level 38. I earned 3 full levels during this event...
Crash
(12/19/03)
I decided to take an intermission from the endless snow fields, and this is the thanks I get... game locks up while changing shields. This sort of thing is a fairly common problem, but it actually happens much less often than it used to.
Petey
(02/27/04)
Your bosom companion for a piratey sort of adventure, eh? He shouts clever jibes at your foes and does a teeny amount of damage to boot. What more could a man ask for, really?
The LSA
(02/27/04)
Later on in the ocean adventure... you encounter one of the most fearsome enemies that one could possibly hope to, erm, encounter. And of course, Petey is nowhere to be seen...
