If we (as you suggest) can't actually play as our favorite heroes (DC: Batman...oh that's it) (Marvel:Nightcrawler [Bamf!], Wolverine, Spider-man, Cable, Professor X, the list keeps going and going), where would you rather live? Personally, I'd much rather explore Gotham or Metropolis than New York City or Chicago. On the other hand, it's the Marvel Multiverses (616 FTL!) which are more interesting from an alternate universe perspective (uhh, think caverns of time or something?)
