Ok… so I’ve decided to give WoW another chance. It’s been like 7 months, right?

So far, I am not disappointed. The horrid gankage does seem to have died down to pre-honor levels, which is good. I don’t mind the occasional PvP encounter while questing, it was just the endless stream of carnage being visited upon innocent low-50’s by hordes (pun intended) of rampaging 60’s.

Battlegrounds and general weariness with the system seem to have finally done their job. The game is once again playable. Plus, with the changes that have happened over the last few patches and the upcoming wonderfulness that will be 1.9, I am finally not regretting my choice to play a hunter.

Upon returning to the game, the first thing I discovered was that my guild (Sword of the Dragon) had disbanded. So… I switched over to Tony’s guild (Wolves of the North). It’s kind of funny, our two guilds had actually had an alliance back when I discontinued my account.

The second thing that I discovered was that our server (Sargeras) was full and that transfers were being made available to a new PvP server (Detheroc). WotN voted in favor of transferring and thus I was dragged along.

Upon arrival, it was discovered that some griefer had already registered not only the guild’s name but had created bunches of characters with the same names as high level WotN people. This happened to several other guilds as well, but that doesn’t mean it didn’t annoy people – our guild is now ‘The Wolves of the North’.

With a full rest meter and a desire to do something about the clutter in my vault, I have spent the last week or so in a mad frenzy to level. I am now 1/3 of the way to 57 with capped Cooking and Skinning skills – yup they fixed the Cooking bug and I ditched Mining/Engr for Skinning/Leather. I have Dragonscale Leatherworking at lvl 250 or so and thanks to runs on ST and Strat, I have endgame weapons (lvl 56+ blue axe and xbow) and one of my rare dragonscale crafting recipes.

All of this progress has inspired me to finally re-post my screenshots in a much more streamlined manner – along with the newer ones. Everything’s automatic, I just have to upload the images to the server and it takes care of the rest.
